    SS CARL D. BRADLEY ship first day cover with a postmark from Massena, NY dated June 26, 1984. Color image by John Belliveau printed on cachet #1843 of the ship by Alvin Eckert USCS #9964.
    This 623' bulk cargo freighter was in water ballast when she sank in a storm on Nov 18. 1958 on Lake Michigan. See her web pages for the details of her design, construction and service history.  33 crewmen were lost in this disaster.
