    This listing is for a nice antique Art Nouveau Period hat pin with oval amethyst cabochon stone, c. 1890-1910
    .
    Unusual gold plated mounting with large oval amethyst cabochon with beautiful coloration.
    Mounting measures approximately 1" high and 3/4" in diameter with the stem measuring 8" long. The amethyst measures 1/2" x 3/8". No marks found.
    The gold plating is in excellent Estate condition with no noted damage and the stem/base is in good condition commensurate with age. Unfortunately, the amethyst cabochon stone has a damaged area on one side (see photos). There is some minor corrosion on the end of stem that we have not tried to remove.
