    Operation Sail 1980, was the return of the great sailing ships, saluting the city of Boston on her 350th anniversary.
    Washington Press,NJ, (Artcraft), produced a cachet for this event. The cachet came in three color varieties, black, blue and green. The event took place over six days, May 30 -June 4, 1980. The six covers are franked with the John Paul Jones stamp, #1789.
