Our 2 day artisanal ice cream and gelato class is held at the Equipment and Concepts facility in beautiful San Clemente, California. Enjoy our beach town, quaint shops and great restaurants in and around San Clemente while you explore the world of ice cream & gelato! Cost is 0.00 per person or ,600.00 for a couple.
In our 2-day class you will learn the fundamentals of artisanal ice cream and gelato making, as well as the importance of ingredients and using balanced recipes. Why do you need balanced recipes? You’ll soon find out!  Our class is very unique in the fact that you will learn from an actual successful gelato shop owner/operator.  Our instructor Maria Coassin has no bias on ingredients or equipment, but she will tell you what she personally uses and why she uses it.  She’s a straight shooter, honest and entertaining.  Maria is very passionate about sharing the information she has learned over the past 20 + years running Gelatiamo; one of the most successful gelaterias in the U.S.  Part of Day 2 of the class is spent entirely on the business aspect so come ready with your questions.  You can check out her business in Seattle here:

Who is Equipment & Concepts?
Tom and Colleen Graves are the owner operators of Equipment and Concepts Inc.; an educational facility and nationwide distributor of fine Italian equipment for gelato and confectionary items.  More than an equipment distributor, we strongly believe in the education process that one must go through before getting into the frozen dessert industry.  We started our classes with Maria in 2011 and have seen amazing results from those who have attended our classes and have gone on to venture into the frozen dessert business. We believe that our customer’s success is our success!
