    Airship Hindenburg: On May 6, 1937 at 7:25pm, the 804 foot rigid German passenger
    airship inflated with hydrogen caught fire and crashed at NAS Lakehurst in Manchester,
    NJ with the loss of 36 lives. After the Hindenburg disaster the public was no longer
    interested in airship travel. Cover prepared on an 8 cent Airmail stamped envelope # AC-41.
