Heirloom HOLY BIBLE and MASONIC Reference Book 1988 unused Eastern StarHeirloom HOLY BIBLE and MASONIC Reference Book 1988 unused Eastern Star
This listing is for a beautiful Holy Bible printed especially for Freemasons. This particular copy is pre-owned but unused. What I mean by that is thee book has no writing or marks in it but there are some fingertip creases on some pages like you might see if somebody looked through the book once when it was given to him. You know, the kind of quick look you'd give a coffee table book about fly fishing when you really hoped it would be a book about Ferraris.
Anyway, the book is pretty much in mint condition otherwise. The first few pages are forms for the owner and family to fill in with genealogy and important dates. Next comes a seventy plus page section of information of interests to Freemasons and members of the Order of The Eastern Star. Then there is a listing of U.S. Presidents who were Masons, the story of Ruth and Boaz, then blank forms to be filled in by the owner and his Lodge Brothers recording his Masonic progress and history. There is next an article on Free Masonry and The Holy Bible, another on The Order of The Eastern Star, non biblical questions and answers about Freemasonry and the O.E.S Next is a section of questions and answers regarding Words, People, Place and Events in the Bible associated with the rituals and teachings of Freemasonry which is actually a Biblical Index to Freemasonry. Lastly there are a few pages on the Tabernacle and King Solomon's Temple.
Next there is a 29 page general (not necessarily masonic) section dealing with being a Christian, the life of Jesus, the Apostles, miracles, parables and more. and then comes the King James version of the Bible. After the Bible the book contains a Dictionary of The Bible and also Concordance
To The Holy Scriptures.
Needless to say, this is a large book measuring about 12:" x 9": x 2.5" thick and weighing about 5.5 pounds. The page edges are gold gilt and there are a couple of full color illustrations. This is the kind of bible every family used to have and pass down and too few of us have today. It's something you can display proudly and with reverance.
This is the Deluxe Reference Edition printed by Heirloom Bible Publishers of Wichita, Kansas with a copyright date of 1988. It has a black leather-like cover with gold graphics. It is in great condition with no marks, writing, dirt or tears and no funky odors. It comes from a smoke free household.

TERMS
(PLEASE READ BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS):
Payment:
All you should have to do at the end of an auction is click "Pay Now". There is no need to ask for an invoice or wait for one. I will send an invoice if you request one but my first priority will be to mail the items I have been paid for.
Shipping (PLEASE DO READ)
:
ANY requests for special packaging, handling, etc. MUST be transmitted through EBAY (not regular email) to the seller within 12 hours of the end of the auction.
Sellers are pretty much forced to follow Ebay policies for shipping. That means the
package must have tracking.
In over 17 years on Ebay I have never tried to make money on shipping.
Please bear in mind that the estimated postage includes a slight bump to cover Ebay fees which are charged on postage and other postal services (Insurance or Signature Delivery Confirmation for items expected to go over 0, etc) and to help cover the costs of all those petroleum based packing materials (peanuts, bubble wrap, etc). Many items are also insured in case of loss/damage. If a package was insured through Ebay's ShipCover, that will not appear on the postage label or in the postage amount.
On heavier or oversize items, I may ship via FEDEX GROUND to try to save you money and/or delivery time.
Similarly, if I can combine shipping for you I will, and will refund any significant savings. Please note that I will not combine items if their size or nature makes it impractical, more expensive or dangerous (I won't ship a lead weight and a porcelain vase together).
International Shipping:
International buyer's are responsible for their country's import duty or tariffs. International payments may require additional postage to include a tracking number or signature receipt.
Sellers are pretty much forced to follow Ebay guidelines for shipping, which means there must be a tracking number used. For International shipping that means Priority Mail, Express Mail or Registered Mail. Frankly, I hate seeing buyers spend that kind of money on postage, but I have little choice but to protect myself by following the guidelines.
ETC:
The items I sell come from various collections and estates. Generally these items have been used or stored. I have no way of knowing whether the previous owner ever smoked, had pets, stored peanuts, or ever had a musty basement, etc. I do at least a cursory cleaning of the items I sell and will do my best to remove dirt, display dust, odors etc, but I CAN NOT be responsible for things like dust in tight
corners, odors I didn't detect, or some mark buried in the middle of a book. You're not paying for my time on an hourly basis and you're certainly not paying professional conservator/restoration rates so please be reasonable. I try to be as factual as I can when describing an item.
I don't claim to be an expert or collector of the things I sell. I sell a wide variety of items and may not know that a light is supposed to go on when a certain button is pushed or that an item is supposed to have 6 pieces instead of 5, or if an item came with a specific sticker/decal on it. I try very hard to describe things as best as I can and provide good photographs. Please look at the photos, if you don't see something ask me, don't assume that it is there. Please don't expect me to be able to answer your more technical or historical questions. If you can put it in words I understand or tell me where to look, I'll do my best to answer your question.
