In 1968, the Amazing Criswell, a psychic who predicted the future on TV, said that the world would end on August 18, 1999, by a "black rainbow" that would cover the Earth and suck out its oxygen. This cover commemorates the 20th anniversary of the end of the world, as predicted by Criswell. Criswell was also known as a narrator of Edward D. Wood, Jr.'s movies Plan 9 From Outer Space and Night of the Ghouls.
    The cachet is laserprinted on a hand-folded high-quality bond linen paper. The hand cancel is Mailer's Postmark Permit from a Los Angeles post office (Los Angeles is movie capital of the U.S. and was Wood's home). This cover is numbered 9 out of an edition of 11.
